Take your whitewater river rescue skills to the next level in this American Canoe Association “ACA” Level 4 course designed for whitewater river runners and professional guides in all river disciplines (raft, Kayak, SUP, canoe and drift boat).  As a boater you never know when you may be called upon to affect a rescue.  This course fits the needs of river guiding companies and our hands on approach allows participants to practice the skills they observe.

The American Canoe Association (ACA), Swiftwater Rescue Level 4 course covers all the essentials of accident prevention and management, hazard recognition, self-rescue, boat-based rescue, whitewater swimming and basic rope techniques. In addition, students have an extra day to learn more advanced skills including advanced rope rescue techniques, unpinning and extrication, entrapment rescues and the use of swiftwater rescue vests.

This two day course will combine an outdoor classroom setting with hands-on learning scenarios in whitewater situations. This course is physically demanding. Participants should be comfortable swimming in Class II+ whitewater rapids.
